Life has taken me on many journeys and I thank God for the grace to continue TODAY!
As I took a walk outdoors after my workout today, I reflected on where I am on this journey called life. The wind was blowing and it soon blew from behind me pushing me forward. (There is a word there somewhere J ) I looked up and smiled thanking God for breathing on me once again to see this day. One thing I can say about this journey is that I have not walked it alone! It’s amazing to just think on how far you have come, where you have been, and where you are yet going! As I continued my walk, I looked down at my shoes and gratefulness filled my heart. I thought of the many pairs of shoes that I do have, and the many that I have given away. I began to think about how people say, “ you will never know my life until you take a walk in my shoes”…and that rang true to me today. I like many others are traveling this journey walking in their own shoes. We pass people every day not knowing that there is a story behind every one of their steps. We meet people from all walks of life and from different cultures not knowing what it took to get them to where they are now. As I continued to reflect and came nearer to home, I thought of a pair a shoes that I have that have much meaning to me. Below I have captured a picture of my favorite pair of heels. For one, they are my favorite color, two my daddy bought them, and three I wore them for my undergrad graduation years ago. The day I graduated college is a memorable moment because Lord knows college was a testing and trying time for me. Aside from the tests it brought, it also brought growth and maturity. I would have to share the college experience in another blog one day, but these pair of heels are the very shoes I wore to step out of something old and into something new. They symbolize the exit of my “Exodus” experience away from home. They represent the royalty that was given to me from my Father. (Catch it J ) I like many others have been on many journeys, and I am so glad that there are many miles to go with God! I am most definitely going FORWARD with Him! Lastly, I encourage you to keep moving forward! We have entered a new year filled with many new things and you may inconvenienced and uncomfortable, but the journey will be worth it! Trust GOD and Go Forward!!!
